SOFTWARE

Software, formally known as Computer Software, is that part of a computer system that consists of encoded information or computer instructions, in contrast to the physical hardware from which the system is built. The term is roughly synonymous with computer program. Computer software includes computer programs, libraries and related non-executable data, such as online documentation or digital media. We teach many popular and highly used pieces of software that can be used either for personal projects or future careers.

WHAT IS SOFTWARE?

Software is a general term for the various kinds of programs used to operate computers and related devices.

Software, formally known as Computer Science, is a collection of instructions that enable the user to interact with a computer and its hardware, or perform tasks. Without software, computers would be useless. For example, without your Internet browser, you could not surf the Internet or read this page and without an operating system, the browser could not run on your computer. The term is roughly synonymous with computer program. Computer software includes computer programs, libraries and related non-executable data, such as online documentation or digital media.

COURSES

This is the list of software we teach. The course pathing is different according to the end goal application.

Animate

Adobe Animate is and evolution of Flash Professional and is a program used to create games, applications, and other things that respond to user interaction. That ranges from micro-interactions, to banner ads, to interactive infographics. Animate projects can include simple animations, video content, complex user interfaces, applications, and everything in between. Animate has an extended suite of features and methods for animation compared to Flash Professional.

SketchUp

SketchUp is a 3D modeling computer program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, civil and mechanical engineering, film, and video game design. SketchUp allows you to create 3D models of buildings, furniture, interiors, landscapes, and more. You can also share the 3D models with realistic light and shadows. SketchUp also has the ability to import files from other 3D modeling programs or tools, or export your SketchUp file for use with other popular modeling and image-editing software.

Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a powerful application that’s used by many professional photographers and designers. You can use Photoshop for almost any kind of image editing, such as touching up photos, and creating high-quality graphics. Photoshop uses a layer-based editing system that enables image creation and altering with multiple overlays that support transparency. Layers can also act as masks or filters, altering underlying colors. Shadows and other effects can be added to the layers.

Inventor

Autodesk Inventor is a 3D mechanical solid modeling design software developed by Autodesk to create 3D digital prototypes. It is used for 3D mechanical design, design communication, tooling creation and product simulation. It incorporates integrated motion simulation and assembly stress analysis, where users are given options to input driving loads, dynamic components, friction loads and further run the simulation to test how the product will function in a real-world scenario. These simulation tools enable users designing cars or automotive parts, for example, to optimize the strength and weight of a product, identify high-stress areas, identify and reduce unwanted vibrations, and even size motors to reduce their overall energy consumption.
