    1-3 Ratio

    For Kids Ages 8 - 18

    Ratio

When our students have their lessons, we have the lowest instructor to student ratios to have the best lessons. This hour is for a 1-3 ratio. This does not require 3 children to be present learning at the same time. It is simply a promise that for every 3 children learning with us using the 1-3 ratio, we have an instructor working with them. They are all still independently paced, learning what they choose, and scheduled when you like.

    Teaching Style

Our students get to learn what they want, and at their own pace. STEM fields are vast in subjects and we want each of our students to be learning what most interests them. With every student possessing individual needs and capabilities, having them learn at their own pace helps everyone. Not only do our students get to learn independently, but they also get to inspire each other by chasing their passions.

    Scheduling

We offer a learning experience that gives you flexibility. Since we offer such an individualized learning experience, so too is our scheduling. As long as it is within our open hours and there is availability, we schedule the way you want. Lessons can be on any day and time, with whatever duration and frequency. We make things easy. Just call, text, email, or see us in person and we will help you get your schedule all set up.

    Hour Usage

With the hours you purchase, you are granted a set number of hours that you may utilize any way you like. Hours expire 6 months after the last active lesson the student has had or purchase made, which ever is more recent.

    1 Week Mid-Day Camp (Monday – Friday | 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

Montrose Location Only Ages 9 - 12 Main Subject | Coding Secondary Subject | Software This week's camp focuses on Coding as its subject with supplemental learning in Software! Your child will receive a good foundation in game design, logic design, and object oriented programming. The students will be learning Scratch, which is an introductory object oriented programming language that focuses on game design, where they will be learning to make games. Once they have a firm grasp of the coding language, they will learn how to make an assortment of games applying important ideas like physics, logic, and balance. Every project will have your child using their own creative ideas. In every game there are visual components that must be made, and so throughout the week the students will learn Software by using illustration software to design and create all their own visuals. Our summer camps focus more on fun and learning through teamwork. All of our students get to explore coding and software with the guidance of our instructors, learning together as a group. We ensure a 1-6 instructor-to-student ratio to maximize the fun and learning. After the camp, if your child is interested in learning more, they can join our after-school classes to continue their growth and learning. We ensure that children will take a 30 minute lunch break every day. Lunch is not provided. We offer free early drop-off at 11:15 AM. If you would like to have your student with Technix Academy longer than 3 PM, we offer our normal classes after Summer Camp hours. • Plastic Robotics Team Subscription

    $375 / month for 10 months

    Plastic Robotics Team

    Ages 8-12

    General Info

For students interested in applying their newfound skills and knowledge in a competitive and challenging way, our robotics team is exactly the way to do that. Rather than learning new concepts, the team is about testing your knowledge and creativity in applying the concepts our students learned to achieve the goal the competition requires. The team competes against schools around the area. The season starts in the summer. This is when we start brainstorming, designing, and prototyping. Then once the school year starts, the students are testing and continuously building. The competitions are during the school year and are roughly once a month or every 2 months. The season ends anywhere between February to April depending on our placement. A sub-team is made for every 5 students on the team, with a minimum of 3 students on a sub-team. To decide which sub-teams are entered into the competitions, we will be having tournaments with our own students to see which robots are entered into the competitions.

    Requirements

    • In order to participate, your child needs to have completed our Plastic Engineering 1 and Plastic Engineering 2. These are the minimum sections required, but the more the student knows and completes, the better.
